Yeah, I agree, queue path construction has some issues/limitations on how they get created. They should have all the same tools as regular paths.
Have you tried using the draw shape tool? Of course it's not in the queue tools (yet) but it helps one learn a bit about how the paths function and don't function. Also there is an edge tool that will allow players to modify existing paths.

the camera angles can make it look like its sloping, but going back to the starts its perfectly even.. just gotta start it even (turn height snapping to .8 or whatever, then when its right crank it up to 13 to make it obvious if you accidentally changed heights)
