question about pathing
whenever i have a coaster station elevated in the air and try to build paths to it i noticed that a lot of times my paths will just slightly slope downwards or upwards. its no a lot but it always happens. is this a bug or am i missing some option that i have to turn on or off? its really annoying because i basically never can build my path right away. i have to keep opening and closing the tool menu and then randomly it stays on the same elevation

adjust "working height" to the height you want might work.. but its kind of a pain to get right.

Yeah, it seems to be keyed to default at x meters above sea level. (the imaginary starting height of the game) Some of the time the coaster isn't at an even meters which makes the path snap to that even meter if the height is close rather than retain the height we start the path. flipping between the tools in the menu sometimes forces the path to the preferred height. I've also noticed it seems to be more of an issue with the queue path rather than the exit.

Yeah the suggestions didnt fix the issue. I place my station elevated and try queue paths and no matter what height i set it always slopes downwards or upwards by tiny bits. Most noticeable when i create a square zigzag queue and try to lay my own „path“ on top of it to cover the actual paths. Then i can see all the uneven parts. Its so stupid, queue pathing takes so much longer and is just tedious af :/

Yeah, I agree, queue path construction has some issues/limitations on how they get created. They should have all the same tools as regular paths.
Have you tried using the draw shape tool? Of course it's not in the queue tools (yet) but it helps one learn a bit about how the paths function and don't function. Also there is an edge tool that will allow players to modify existing paths.
yeah the pathing is a little finicky it seems but just play around a lot more option now ,You can do some cool things i find myself using the edit tool a lot but it dose get a little weird on sloops. Wish you could advance move paths if you know what i mean

have you tried just pressing and holding shift (and moving the mouse) to set the height manually? ( i had assumed you already did that... but i went and replicated what you just described, and just using shift to set the height makes that go away)

the camera angles can make it look like its sloping, but going back to the starts its perfectly even.. just gotta start it even (turn height snapping to .8 or whatever, then when its right crank it up to 13 to make it obvious if you accidentally changed heights)

if you lay a flat roof over that do you see any uneven spots? i have been adjusting the height manually, yes. but i dont think its working as intended, the queue should stay on given height untill i actually tell it to slope down or up. its just milimeters i know, but thats where me perfectionism kinda kicks in i guess xD
anyways guys, thank you all for your inputs and feedback :) much appreciated

Do note that the path will tend to snap to the nearest 0.25 meters when it gets of a bit so be sure your height snap is set to that. And when it's time to make the path go to the ground just tap space bar and it should align with the terrain.

also what might help is when bui8lding your station platform, make sure it uses the same height snapping distance as what you have the path height snap set too.

ok i might just be to dumb to understand the gived tools then :SadGuest:
ill try to have another extensive look into elevated queue paths at the weekend, thank you all again for the feedback
