Pools issues

now the most people I have seen in the pool or anything at once is 6 people for like a short period then they get out. the rest of the time the pool is empty. the flumes i have seen used maybe 3 times. https://ibb.co/zhGnzqm

Having similar issues. There seems to be some broken logic for guests and pools where the pools don't draw guests that want a pool to the park. And then once the ones that use the pool do they don't go back. I do wonder if it's related to how the guests will flock to any flat ride over choosing anything else in the park,,,

yeah flat rides at my park aren't really the thing for some of them are like fully packed others not so much so not really sure

actually now to think of it the majority of people are on 2 roller coasters that area is bunched up a lot and the rest are around the front entrance just walking around .... seems like there isn't enough people to go around the park :(

Just so we know, The more decorated a ride the more they attract guests. The same isn't seeming to be so for the pools. Also prestige is a big factor in who will ride any ride. That prestige is a combination of the ride's status, it's excitement and it's scenery. Fear seems to be a subset that devides the draw by the guest tolerance for fear.

yeqah i just figured that out ... one of my flat rides which was a prebuilt with a few extra scenery around it has got 24k scenery bonus and is flat out the ride across from it a coaster i built has 5500 and is packed as well. the pools are just over from there. i have 2 other coasters to the right of the pool and i have jsut been playing around with scenery to see if that makes a huge difference nothing yet but i am guessing it will after you said that lol. pools is between these 2 areas

I have seen many guests in my pools. When you are creating your pools are you making sure that the ratings are high?

In the posted image, I do not see any extra pool items. like lounge chairs, diving boards, etc.

there are some pool chairs etc this is quite far down the back of my park not added much tbh to it i lost interest when they seemed to skip past for coasters and flat rides

just wait and see if the next patch makes it worth my time or not

i will tell you one thing though those power generators breaking down are super annoying along with all the random people and staff who just randomly stop doing anything on the spot. i think those are more annoying then the pool not being used

The only way i have got lots of people in my pools is to have no flat rides whatsoever. As soon as i add a stock flat ride with no scenery the pools, flumes and lazy rivers empty. Roller coasters are fine though.

use solar power, its better and cheaper then power generators, expensive yes but worth it

Same issue here. One pool was busy, the other empty. Flumes working great, then suddenly no people in the pools at all. Just emptiness. I'm sure this will improve with new updates coming.

Pools was the big attraction and the reason I bought the game. I was surprised to discover that only pre-built pools in the scenarios were used by guests. I spent hours trying to figure out why the pool that I built wasn't used at all. Even in the scenario where you have to build 4-5 pools, none of my built pools would be used, only the one pre-built at the start of the scenario. In total I think I have 5 people actually use a pool that I added over several scenarios.

A theme park game where pools and water rides are the main attraction and people won't use them. Why is that a problem! Apparently it's not with Frontier. They will probably fix this issue over time, but the damage has been done. I wish I had never bought this game and Frontier has been added to my list of "bad" developers. I will never buy another game from them again. That's good PR there.

I think they cost more for repair though every time i go to repair 43k for each i usually leave them for ages till it starts to annoy me then i actually do a repair.

Yeah just bugs they will patch them even if it takes a few patches. pools aren't really my thing i just figured i would add them because they were there. Coasters are my thing i will just wait till it is patched and see if i need to make some changes to the pools area

There are a lot of basic bugs in this game. The kind that are obvious just by playing the game. It makes you wonder if anyone actually tested this game before release. It might have been marginally acceptable if it had been released as "early access", but it wasn't.
