Paths are a struggle
Anyone else finding getting used to the new path system a problem. I can create tight corners easily and the paths like attaching themselves to nearby ones for no reason when you try to create two paths near each other. Any advice, or anyone want to add until the developers see this if it is not just me.

I like the new path tool.

for me i overlap constantly two paths what looks very unclean - like making the transiion from one to another texture feels strange atm.

the problem is the UI for me. everything takes song long.

yeah it is clunky. That and making anything custom in general. It's like they went out of their way to make it harder than it needs to be. by that I mean I have played a lot of games were building something is a lot easier to do. Why this is so awkward is beyond me.

I search for everything, i never played a basebuilder/citybuilder/thempark builder were i just can't remember all button. its odd.

I found holding CTRL whilst placing paths stops it from being sticky to nearby paths.

It's better than the old pathing tools but it's still fiddly as heck.

Path creation... Yeah it's different than anything we are used to. Is it better or worse? I don't know yet... I really do miss the align to grid function and the precision it brings of previous planet games. Like others, I'm having issues with paths overlapping and besides looking bad getting guests hung on the broken intersection. I feel like we could make this system work with some practice but what we create will certainly be different. And like others, the number of clicks for each procedure seems excessive.
for some reason the guests just dont walk on my path? Not sure why

Please Frontier if you are reading these discussions, let me align to a grid for regular and queue paths. And please for the love of god bring back square corners

Something I noticed: If you place paths and pools via stamps, it behaves very much like PC1's Align-To-Grid mode, now with extra added polygonal shapes like hexagons. Haven't had the time to properly delve into it yet, unknown how easily one can snap paths around ride stations, for example (There does seem to be some sort of Align-Scenery-To-Station option), but I hope that helps.

Yes that works for grid for normal paths. It does not however, work for queues; and on normal paths you cannot use that technique to follow a grid from the exit or entrance gates of a ride/station that is raised off the ground.

The new path tool is great with the expansion of abilities but one, it is so picky on placement. And two, we are missing great features from the original, like I mentioned, square edges and grid placement.

In the career parks I cannot for the life of me connect to any of the existing paths without an utter fight. Over and over again it is an absolute nightmare. I have tried everything imaginable and it just stays awful. They touted this as being so much better and I just cannot see how this is an improvement. When I finally find a way to snap that doesn't look like a twisted highway being pinched I will end up with a terrain error. Some of the career parks are pretty much unplayable because you can't access the various levels due to the crazy path problems. Very frustrating.

I keep getting jagged, and ugly edges on the paths and pool edges.

I got used to it. Rounding tool and editing fixes pretty much everything odd.

I love that they replaced one fidgety system with another.
