But their is some cool new additions to the game.
Pools and flumes, better lighting and dark rooms to make cool darkrides, way better path system, you can now attach pieces to flatrides and coaster trains, so way better personnalisation, including some new track pieces. Some improvement to management, like weather, work schedules, heatmap, etc...
I don't think it's a cash grab but the game is kind of empty right now with only a few new themes, Like PC1 at the very beginning.
The main issue is that they went for the primary for console style (if we look at UI and other limitations)
I am abit torn.. I did try out the game abit, but I thinking about refunding and just sticking with PZ until we see more evolution of this game.
The fact it lacks steams workshop is also an issue for me.
It makes me sad.. because I love Frontier and supported PC1, played it a lot and I´ve used lots of lots of lots of time in PZ.. but this feels like a downgrade to PZ.
Never mind a game restart fixed it.
Either jump in now with the current limitations or wait for the game to get more content and polish. I am enjoying the game but finding it frustrating at times mainly due to the UI.
Performance is great and runs decent and had no issues whatsoever. I do have a decent system though. I have seen others experiencing issues though.
CPU - AMD 5950 X
GPU - AMD 7900 XTX
New pathing system
Added swimming pools and flumes
new scenery
new facilities
new rides
Added electricity and water management
Improved coaster building
You can section your park
Scenery brush, allowing you to place stones and trees randomly generated where ever you brush, can be adjusted alot
Scenery scaling
You can add scenery to rides
New career maps
Save sharing with friends, much better than the Planet Coaster 1 and Planet Zoo alternative of either manually sending the file to a friend or making a steam workshop file each time
Though there is a lot that still could be added and improved
Now I like the engine better, and I don´t expect it to have as many options as one after all dlcs. But sure as hell I didn´t expect downgrades to UI and bugs that were fixed in one 3-4 years ago to reapear.
Also visitors still always take the perfect route. Instead of wandering a bit so building decoration and intertwined paths to have great optics are still worthless.
This was a feature when I played roller coaster tycoon 2 in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2002.... Guests that didn´t buy a map could get lost, they got distracted by decoration wandering stretches of flowerbeds you build etc.
they have all this nice ideas in the backround like all this preferences for the guests and now even eating limitations, but what does it really amount to if they still run around like cruise missels to their target they still feel dead.
its not a bad game... but it sure feels like we should expect a bit more.
Just wondering what was so ground breaking to justify an entirely new version, at full price.
If it could have been a patch/DLC to 1 with enough to justify I would probaably have payed half the price of a full new version to upgrade PC1.
As it stands, I think I'll be waiting on the first sale to pick this up.
