PC2 seems unfinished. Why no EA release with roadmap?
I think the main thing that people are worried about is that a lot of things in the game seem unfinished and not polished.

It begins with the new path tool beeing great because of the many options. But it can be overwhelming for others, water rides being unpolished in many aspects. there only being 4 skybox options from the start, switched tracks only available to certain coaster types, UI being not pleasant for pc users and the list goes on...

Lots of youtubers i saw are arguing that the base is there and the is potential. That things will get better with updates. A lot of it is wishful thinking but many restrictions in my opinion are actually set in stone because of console limitations.

But it's unclear what frontiers roadmap is, they are not communicating that to us. But i think they should as the game in many ways feels like early access: unfinished but a lot of potential.

But they are marketing it as a fully fledged new game and then the problem is: what can be changed after release? People will be upset with changes as well...

I myself am judging the game as it is now: Rushed and not polished for release. Things take time in development of games and frontier really should take the time. But it's november now and with the holiday sales coming in i think they simply can not afford missing out on sales. I'm still not sure what to do: it's tempting to buy it but then the uncertainty of what will get polished is there. I cannot say that and nobody can.

In PC1 management was broken. But in my experience they never tackled that. The balancing was just never really there. And they did not change the economy at all after release....

So What do you think: will they fix bigger things in the future? Or are many things set in stone and youtubers are imagining things to baby us viewers?

I firmly believe they will address issues and concerns if they are able to. if it is a limitation of their engine and the game has cooked then some issues will persist. like performance in pc1 when the parks got huge was a engine limitation.
ive seen lots of people complaining about the 6k limit on guests. yet i would wager they didnt have 6k in a park in pc1 and good performance. this seems to be running well from what ive seen. and to me that is an easy fix. default is 6k. add a option to go past it in settings.

Given your obvious extensive playtime with PC2, can you name the things you've experienced in game that makes you feel it was rushed?

I honestly do not know what content creators are people watching. The videos I have seen so far show a fleshed out, impressive game with some minor technical hiccups. I absolutely do not see any console compromises except for the guest limit, which does seem very strict; but I will wait till I play myself to judge that.
Obviously, PC2 will not have everything PC1 has now (e.g. scenery-wise etc.), but I don't want it to. I don't want devs spending time to make a remaster, I want a new game that can take a new direction. New scenery themes, new stuff to build.
And not all mechanics need to be the same - I see people complain that ATMs are not in the game, but personally, I haven't used cash in years, unless a store absolutely forces me to. O.o
Some of the stuff now in PC1 was also added eventually (like vandalism and hotels). I understand that some people want them again, but I wouldn't mind not having those and having other new features instead.

A lot of us don't expect everything from PC1 in PC2. That's not really the issue for the majority. However, general game mechanics that we had PC1, like custom billboards, custom music etc, these should be there. This is a sequel. A sequel with less base mechanics than the original isn't a sequel at all. We can't even turn off weather or go night mode in sandbox. I'm happy to buy all the DLCs for game objects, but base mechanics need to be there. I mean, moving your pointer to the edge of a screen to look around your park - that's not a thing in PC2.

They've pandered to Console and made the PC version an afterthought. I'll play the game on Wednesday for two hours, because I've pre-ordered. But if we haven't had any communication by then, I'll more than likely refund, if it doesn't meet my expectations.

We're just asking for an open dialogue at this point. Is the PC version going to be restricted by the Console version, or can we divorce them and treat them as separate entities. That's all.

From what ive seen of Planco 2 it looks good but I cant help but think the UI is very console based, being a PC player I would like the option of the old style layout and maybe they could add a better UI for us PC gamers. Will obviously take some getting used to but will have to wait until the 6th which I also am abit frustrated with having preordered the deluxe version and there are a ton of content creators that have the game not just a couple of days before but a week before i think is abit of a joke personally, they have my money already yet I cant even pre install the game ready for the silly release time of 3PM UK time on the 6th! Saying that I will be hitting that install button as soon as it comes avaiable and ill be in the queue with the masses downloading the game from the server at the same time. Lets just hope we can play the game after install without any issues. remaining hopeful lol!

The problem is people are expecting and seeking answers too much and DEVs are not being communicative at all. This is making criticism more harsh and rude. I've seen a video by LEAF-- a well known PZ player/modder/youtuber -- the video actually showed everything we are getting with PC2 release. I pre-ordered the game just after watching that video because I felt the console style UI or 6K cap or limited animatronics-- these are not big issues to shout for me now at least. Yeah, there are some things which I wanted to be in the game but I can't be this much rude to anyone for not getting what I want. To people who are being so angry because of the console oriented game-- WHY DON'T YOU JUST STEP AWAY FROM BUYING THIS GAME? -- instead you guys are just spamming the forum with hate and rudeness. If the console players are getting a little advantage with the game-- SO WHAT? -- if the DEVs want the game to be more for console players-- WHAT CAN WE DO? Just spreading hate? Why keep shouting when it's clear that they are not even caring about the criticism and doing what they want to do!! They are not forcing us to buy the game. And before anyone asks-- I'M A PC PLAYER, NOT A CONSOLE PLAYER.

Actually in that YT 2 hour long video, I saw we are getting many options and stuffs and the graphics looked improved at least to me. I know the water doesn't have physic, not everything is flexi color, no 3d grass, no workshop yet, too much clicks -- but remember that not everyone own a super pc from NASA like some of you own. Console players and players with a normal gaming PC or laptops also have the right to enjoy the game. Besides, they will definitely release patches and updates and ofcourse DLCs to improve. And which game doesn't come with bugs? It won't be a perfect game from the beginning. Learn to wait or just don't buy. And please don't compare it with PC1 every moment. It's a sequel but still a new game. Instead of comparing too much just keep playing PC1 and stay happy.

I disagree with pretty much this whole post.

During the alpha testing of PC1, we were encouraged to give feedback. We've not been invited to an alpha this time, but we can make judgement on what we're seeing. The Devs can continue to ignore us, but it won't be us out of pocket in the end. It'll be them.

In saying all of that, I like Frontier and have supported the studio for a long time, but I'm a huge fan on Planet coaster and want what's best for the game. Unfortunately, this team of Devs doesn't seem to be what's best.

We payed extra to get into the alpha on pc1.
To me that was worth it we helped set the tone and design of planet coaster as a franchise.(which lead to planet zoo also) from what I read and ive tried to stay away from anything not put out from frontier to avoid knowing everything about the game. before I personally got hands on the game. Security and ATM's. is the only thing im suprised is missing, but i belivbe that came in a free update in pc1 after launch also.
And as to people who are upset over the 6k guest limit. id love to see them running a huge park with over 6k people from pc1 without sever performance impact. and i belive thats as easy as adding in a option in settings to bypass that. perhaps thats just to ensure a smooth launch.

What is your excuses for the console UI instead of creating a UI tailored to both platforms individually like they did with Planet coaster 1?

I agree. And I suspect that security might be much less popular than people tend to think. I am someone who started all the way back with RCT1 and that game (and its sequels) are the main reason why I kinda expect similar games to have this feature. That being said, I do not enjoy it at all. It doesn't even seem that realistic, like sure, you get vandals in parks, but I can't imagine people willfully destroying property and getting away with it with cameras everywhere.. In PC1, the feature was patched in after release and I always turned it off after trying it out. It just added extra meaningless management. In Parkitect, I couldn't turn it off and I hated it.
And honestly, in RCT, you could get away with no security because vandalism only happened when there was trash around. Enough handymen meant no vandalism.
And ATMs, well....I imagine it might be different in different parts of the world, but I haven't used cash in..ages, unless I really have no choice. I believe at least in most of Europe, that is the common situation. :)
