-Security Guards, Missing.
-Themes. Missing.

-Mascots, Missing
-Hotels, Missing
-Shop management replaced with vegan and gluten nonsense. (I hate this with a passion)
-Staff only paths
Highly requested features not in game
-Management is absent and dumbed down. We wanted this significantly expanded and we has seen virtually nothing that is new or improved. The power addon for example is just pointless. Plop a building and forget about it.
-Coaster Station upgrade to inc multiple stations.
-Arcades
-Mini golf / Crasy golf
-Ride photo booths
-Back stage areas
-Transportation management and car parks
Water park additions
-No slides physics simulation
-Boats and rubber dinghies just disappear.
-Lack of water park rides and games.
The game has not been shown off by Frontier at all, Its all been very shady and the community game play has also been severely restricted. Why advertise a game and not show it off.
Updates exist.
For sure there are trigger-able water jets as we have seen numerous videos already of that. I don't think it's good news on the glowing water fountains though as the Viking dark ride they showed off had a fountain in it but it was almost impossible to see...just like the first game, light just did not light it up. This is a real problem for making dark rides and Frontier needs to FIX this anyway they can. I don't care if they have to kind of fake it or rewrite and patch their engine. You gotta be able to light up water somehow. It is just too limiting to not be able to.
I don't think we have seen fireworks in the game yet, which is curious. As we have seen smoke, fire and all sorts of other effects.
Don't know if we can put our own sound effects into the game. I sure hope so. Also I haven't seen the ability to put little video screens with GIFS playing on them either like Planco 1 had. Those need to be in there. So I am a little worried about that.
These things should be in the game at launch. I'm tired of buying incomplete games and hoping I get the opportunity to buy DLC to add content that should have been there already. Anyone else?
So a park builder without even Security Guards is acceptable in 2024? A sequel is supposed to improve, not regress by stripping half of the games content out of it to sell as future content.
My god, Why not just ship the game with 1 flat ride, 1 coaster and 1 shop and charge a fee for each additional feature or piece of content.
No wonder the games industry is in a mess.
And honestly, looking at the landscape of theme park games we have, there's no other option than to go with Planco 2. Unless you want to stick with Planco 1, its limitations and its poor performance.
Well, you'll always have Rollercoaster Tycoon World, that game wasn't incomplete, eh?
I only pre ordered early on to secure the pay walled pre order rides. I would not have bothered otherwise.
I have the option to refund on launch day so I am waiting to see whats in the game and what it has to offer before making the final decision to refund. At the moment though a refund looks highly likely to be the outcome.
I do not believe Frontier are hiding content but I guess we will find out for sure in the coming days. The problem with Frontier is that they refuse to communicate with the community.
Other games I have in the Theme park builder series are:-
- Theme Park (1994) Dos version. Still great to this day and still one of the best.
- RCT series.
- Parkitect.
- Park Studio
I am happy top go back to playing these instead if PC2 is a failure.
Right now no one has the right to say "this isn't going to be there" since we don't have the final version of the game in our hands. I don't care about the communication that this company has, the surprise factor exists and I understand that they're not going to show you everything the game has so as not to ruin the first gameplay experience.
I've seen more than enough of those games you've mentioned. The RCT saga was legendary in its day, but I've put so many hours into it that I'm already tired of it, plus they are old games where one cannot freely build a park like in the Planet Coaster saga, due to the old technology of those games, plus none of them are at the level of Planet Coaster, but that's just my opinion.
