What to do with low mobility soldiers?
just started a new campaign, and 3 of my soldiers from the character pool rolled very low mobility as rookies, which makes me pretty sad as I was somewhat attached to these guys and girls. they got promoted after the first mission, so I have a 13 mobility gunner and a 14 mobility ranger. These guys need 3 gear items, so they'll have 10 and 11 mobility respectively, making them pathetic. and I cant give them LMG's. do I just stick them into havens?

Most haven advisor missions aren't dependent on mobility so that sounds like a good use for them, Ranger and gunner are some of the better classes for slowpoke rookies to roll anyways.

There is a mod for loading a character's appearance/bio from the character pool if you name them identically. (I'll see if I can dig that up... found it) It'll give you the option to plop your favorite characters into the roles you'd prefer them in with relatively little fuss.

Gunners can't use some perks after moving, rangers don't necessarily move. You can use them on missions who don't have timers. Some kind of "we are legion" mission where you send as many soldiers as possible to the mission and then couple the rangers with the gunners to be locking down enemy movement, infantry group(rookies, technicals, assaults) flanks from the other side and the sharpshooters sit in the back center and the shinobi in the front center.

i thought about that, but it's really nice having two-barrels available when you need it. the low mobility gunner could potentially work, yes.

You can send them as supervisor like advised, and wait for speed PCS if you decided to get back them in active service.

I think go got almost the best classes for these stats. The best one would have been sharpshooter with high aim.
