XCOM 2
XCOM 2 by far the best gorgeous tactical turn based game. Any other suggestions?
XCOM 2 is now fairly old but with expansions like War of the Chosen its by far my most favourite tactical turn based shooter. No other game has come close to the format as XCOM has. For a strategy player I was hooked ever since I played XCOM Apocalypse. Also XCOM on the XBox was one of the few strategy games I was able to complete since other strategy games just did not get the mapping right on the controllers and were unwieldly. I think the developers did a great job mapping the controls across all platforms to make it seamless. Do you agree?

It's even more amazing in auto-hdr and 4K. It's funny you posted this, because I was thinking about how great it looked last night, even when I zoomed all the way in to look at the posters on the walls of the buildings.

I occasionally have to use the camera zoom in addition to the mouse 3 scroll wheel to look for the body of a soldier on the ground, so I can find them and carry their bodies out. When I am zoomed in, I am always impressed by the amount of detail they put into the game.

As far as suggestions, well, nothing else comes close in my opinion. You might try looking at some video reviews on Phoenix Point on YouTube.

The amount of tiny details everywhere on the maps is still really impressive, imo. Seriously, just take a minute and zoom into the basketball courts. There's trash and debris and random objects everywhere that does nothing and it looks great.

Pretty impressive that a game that's been modded so much as this still doesn't have any graphic overhauls.

Because there's no need for any graphical overhauls.

The fact that they managed to make the game look better than a lot of modern games of the genre on UE3 (a very old engine nowadays, at least 12 years since its release) is extremely impressive. The game is also quite stable, and mods make it run flawlessly. I have to say though that by far the biggest reason the game is so extremely good is because of the amazing mod support, the SDK, and the community thay makes so many mods even today.
If they ever make an XCOM 3 they better include mod support right off the bat.
