New launcher? Lost my game!

I wake up to a new launcher this morning. There are 4 options to launch, only 1 works, other 3 crash the game. Then when I get in the game, all my save games for my current game are missing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR IMPLEMENTING SOMETHING THAT WASN'T NEEDED AND DOESN'T WORK!

I didn not lose my games but it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my mods and my save is corrupted- so the same outcome I guess.

Just use the custom launcher. I had the game uninstalled for 2 years, then re-downloaded it again yesterday and it still works, still has my mods and saves and everything.

You did not lose anything. Go launch game from library, you will get new options, choose WOTC

hey so when this initially happened last week i uninstalled and re-installed my game. are my saves lost? i dont see an option to launch WOTC, only xcom2

For vanilla, this works but the new launcher screwed up my WOTC Long War 2 and other mods. Even using the old launcher, the game still crashes now with mods.

Not sure about this I was using only one mod which shows Hp number and it still worked.

It is annoying that I now have to launch from game library. Is there a way to do this from a desktop shortcut? Because even if I have WotC as my default start option from game library, the shortcut starts XCOM2.

It completely bypasses the disasterous 2K launcher, is faster and makes organizing mods much much easier.

Unsurprising that removing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unnecessary launcher would break things since they so desperately tried to force it on us.

Not only this but how ever these launchers works changed how the mods where loaded, use to be that you could use X-com 2 mods for WOTC specially voice packs, they didn't all work but cosmetic and voice pack mods typically did, now they don't work at all and several voice packs that where supposed to be WOTC compatable just flat out don't work losing me half the fun voices i use.
