How do I get resources

How do I get resources, outside of the black market, supply missions, and special missions? I have plenty of money but no resources... and in the market you can't trade as much as you want.

Clearing rooms in the Avenger and scanning POI are the only other ways to get resources. You will get alloys from clearing rooms with alien machinery, and elerium for clearing the power coils, "alien debris" only gives supplies. You can get POI scans for Alloys and Elerium or sometimes just Alloys. Supply raids are when you get the most of all 3, and you can also get elerium cores which you need in the Proving Ground for various items. Also if you get a downed UFO, that is also a supply raid although it isn't called that. Not the UFO defense mission, but once you've had a UFO defense it's possible to get a downed UFO and you get resources from that.

Research Alien Data (when available)
Datapad Decryption some times rewards Intel
certain Caches on the world map with the Intel description
Skulljacking will also reward intel
