Though mods should be able to keep you entertained for a long time.
> "is there any other game like this?"
Depends on what you mean by "like this", there are several games about defending earth from aliens, but they're extremely dissimilar to new XCOM games, that are closer to TRPG than to TBT.
X-COM (original), Czech UFO games (UFO: Aftermath, etc), Xenonauts are the first one that come to mind.
Don't play Phoenix Point btw, it's awful.
If you just mean TRPG games then I'd recommend Troubleshooter and Reverse Collapse.
If you enjoy the game as is, i highly recommend you to try the long war mod for it ( called Long war 2 / Long war of the chosen for dlc ). You will certainly get many more hours of fun (suffering) for free. It is more complex then the base game so id say id be something you do after beating the game multiple times . For reference i have beaten Xcom 2 on legend Ironman and i´ve had quite a bit of trouble during my many never finished playtroughs in the mod, maybe its my age catching up,
Dont be discouraged by it though, it is at least as good if not better then playing xcom 2 for the first time again.
you can find the mods in the steam workshop page so its quite easy to install.
2.
There is also of course the prequel to Xcom 2, called Xcom enemy unkown / enemy within
(the add on to enemy unknown). It inherently has a diffrent background setting since you defend earth instead of trying to liberate it. it can scratch the itch here and there but you can feel the date. Still worth a play if you can get it for cheap ( Enemy Within (Add on) recommended).
3.
Another Game roughly in that specific genre is called Xenonauts. The gameplay mechanics are a bit diffrent to the new Xcom titles but are nice to play with in their own way.
Xenonauts 2 is currently in Early access, take that in a way comfortable to you.
Personally i enjoyed it so far, though I usually play for a few days, stop, and then start a new save file a few months later when new stuff releases.

There is a game called phoenix point. Havent played it myself and watched a video series on YT about it years ago while having a bad cold. So i cannot say anything about its current state or how good it was due to the days feeling like a fever dream (due to beiing sick). it has a developer connection to xcom, dont remember the details though.
Might be worth a look , maybe you enjoy it.
Edit: 1/1 other commentators say that phoenix point might contribute to fever dreams. Read the package insert for risks and adverse reactions and consult

I tried a few other; but nothing else compelled my interest as much.
Some lesser known good games of different sorts:
- fighting aliens - Terra Invicta
- turn-based tactics and developing a roster of soldiers - Our Adventurer Guild
Wasteland 3 is more rpg, but has similarities.
An oldie, fallout tactics is a game i quite enjoyed too. Its kinda x-com meets fallout.
Phoenix point i found atrociously bad. It frustrated me to no ends. Too many bugs with sightlines.
Jagged Alliance is good but way too easy. There is no enemy AI at all. They just run at you.
Wartales where you manage a band of medieval mercenaries is good for while.
No other turn based game looks as good as XCOM 2 except Midnight Suns.
That game is gorgeous.
You don't realy have the freedom you have in XCom, because you will get your squatmate chosen reandomly out of a pool through the game. But every squadmate has different abilities, and this is, what makes this game special.
Also, the gameplay is quite different with different phases through the combat. (planning, Attacking and then playing out.) Your main goal is to stop 3 criminal factions. You choose, which to go against first. But the other two will get advantages meanwhile. You won't mainly play against the other factions as long as you go against your chosen one.
But you still can react to situations, including those of the other factions.
And then, there is even a prequel: The Burau: Xcom declassified.
This is a squad-based shooter. If you played mass effect, you know the type. It's quite similar. It plays BEFORE Xcom 1. (I have problems with this game, though, It crashes for no reason after 5 minutes...)
It is a WW2 Setting but you have the tactical XCOM formula Combat and Base Building, and it is very reasonable priced.
I like Phoenix Point up to a... point, but it gets old really fast. The tech tree is basically a trunk, where every breakthru just gives you the equivalent of, like, +1 to your armor or weapon.
Wasteland 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played, and I had a Pong machine in my house as a kid.
I tried Jagged Alliance 3 and refunded it before the two hour refund window closed.
I couldn't get in to Xenonaughts, even tho it kinda sorta feels like the old-school '90s X-com. I keep installing it, playing for an hour or two, and then forgetting about it again for a while.
XCOM Enemy Unknown/Within is very good, and I like it better in some ways than 2 -- the battle maps are SO much better in EW, it's amazing they didn't use any of them in 2. 1 is harder, also, with no stealth/surprise mechanic, and no WotC to make your soldiers overpowered. The Long War mods are brutally hard, and I really hate the way the squad mechanics work, at least for LW2 and LWotC. The mod scene for WotC is nuts, tho, so you can play it for AGES with different combinations of those.
I HIGHLY recommend playing Enemy Within first, and then non-WotC XCOM2, if it's not too late.
There are a lot of turn-based games out there, but I'd call this one the best of the bunch, even tho it's pushing a decade old.
The way they develop games these days, I don't even want them to announce XCOM3. I don't to know how long the advanced access is, how many cosmetic DLCs they have pre-planned and what I get for my 150€ Schmuck Edition, except a paid beta access and some unbalanced pre-order crap.
There is no other like XCOM and the people who can, will ruin it on behalf of short term profits for some quarterly percentage gain that some psychopath can use as leverage to ruin the next product somewhere else.
from what i looked at the store i thinked it was some sort of spin off but i will take a look.
i can't go back to the old ones, the lack of map procedural generation, and some factions is a killer for me, i think xcom2 improved alot.

i will try the long war mod mentioned it looks good i will wait till i can beat the game on legend atleast but i will try, and thanks guys for the suggestions wasteland 3 pheonix point i will try all of then and keep the games mentioned on my next list of purchase, i really wanted to play more games like this.
I cannot recommend it enough as it really adds a lot with new mechanics, new abilities, & classes.
Make sure you thoroughly read about infiltration as that is what trips up most people.
