Bug when investigating the ADVENT Blacksite

Good day Commanders,
I'm playing on Ironman and got the problem, that the Blacksites progress is stuck at "investigate".
I'm inside the factory, the mission locator is still stuck inside the green pool of goo but whatever I do the cutscene of the green tubes is not playing.

When I run to the vial container the green tile for picking up is also not showing up.
I reloaded several times but as it is in ironman there is only one state to load.

I'd prefer to not evacuate and come again as I'm playing on legendary so my team will be tired.
Any ideas?

And thats why i dont do ironman ever always gotta have them saves ( my game likes to crash a lot so yeah)

Just cosmetic ones and the same I always use in every run. :/

Seems I broke the game completely, I evacuated everyone and the mission still keeps going with no one present now. :D
Well, seems I have to start over :/

Welp now you learned why its not recommended to not do iron man at all.

At least hopefully it was early in the campaign so u dont lose that much progress.

Yep, learning the very hard way. I even tried restarting the level using the console but this crashes my game completely. Well...

Thats why i do the "i save scum once per mission because ♥♥♥♥ losing that precious max level soldier" thing where its not iron man and its like 8 autosaves or something silly like that ( dont know why its 8 ish ) and well try to be honest with it ( although im in LWOTC and that mod has some insane missions so yeah... ( chosen avenger defense is so hard sometimes ) i definetely scummed that one until i won .

funny how many ppl say its a given the game bugs out/crashes when it practical never bugs out on me. there is a SLIGHT (attention: ironie and sarcasm) chance this ppl use mods? because i only play vanilla and have no problems finish iron man runs crashfree (read: game dont crashes for me, exept the animation bug of Aliens hanging in neverending shooting ones every 10? or more campains, and that can be cured by reloading)

I'm sure Win 11 is a reason, too.
I never upgraded to Win 11.

well yeah ofc i use mods because the base game is way too dry and boring to me otherwise like long war of the chosen is soooooooooooooo goooooodd and i also need quality of life mods like the barracks displayer on the geoscape or the soldier information bar in the missions themselfs ( both should be base game imo ) like they are just too important for me.

Not to mention all the other cosmetic and gameplay changing mods too.

But yeah definetely agree that the basegame is bug free ofc!

i can tell you that im on win 11 and the vanilla game is fine af .
