Extremely slow download

I have been downloading for 8 hours and its only 60%. It cant be my internet. Can anybody help?

check settings -> download

See if you have any throttle, or DL speed limit, and make sure your download region is close to home and less likely to be inherently throttled somewhere else on the path from your home to the source.

You can also use an online service like speedtest to figure out your connection upper bound and see how much slower your download bit or byte rate is (you may need to do some measurement unit conversion)

Already did that.

Well, not sure what you expect here. It's either an issue with your network or Steam, and not connected to XCOM 2 specifically.

why you keep downloading it
its gonna take long time
especially if modded
you mentioned this other day if its taking 2 days for it to download then its not steam or application
i had a problem with this game downloading slow its a big app so expect that
mods in play add more time
i got mine modded and damn new launcher alternative launcher when all that got done i set steam to not auto download until i launch it and if an update would have showed up and i wanted to play it, i would have played online cause even if you have a monster computer it will be slow install. I would not uninstall it unless you done with it. Make sure you know what you want (mods) and anything else (launcher) and do thorough research on the changes that have been made and the work around. So got game all you dlc'c the mods you want the alternative launcher you got all that you do them like they describe you to do then no going back its to much time and that last download gonna be sloooow you will think its something wrong but nope its just loooong
I can relate and good luck It took me a week or more to find out what was wrong and main thing was that I didn't have that new launcher cause xcom did some patch that messed up the launching it never would launch 1-2 hrs still not launching.
But game so good you want to figure out whats wrong.
