how do i throw evac flair?

I am on that black site mission where you have to take a sample and evac with it. I click on the top right icon to call in the evac but it says I need to put down evac zone or something. However none of my guys have the option to throw evac flair. Ive googled how to do this and I can't find anything am I in a bugged game? Thanks for the help

That mission has the evac point placed for you at the start of the mission. If you don't recall where it was, there should be an icon that points you towards where it is, but that sometimes isn't visible.

when you pick up the sample, you get a evac point automatic. if you want to use an emergency evac point (that fails the mission) it has some rules about how far away from your soldiers it can be, it cant be on a spot where soldiers or aliens are, and some other rules. some missions cant have you drop a evac zone, not sure if blackside was one of them, because it is a mainbranch mission it was ever hit or miss for me.

I honestly cant find it the camera does not zoom to where the evac point is neither is it the same place as were we landed?

IIRC, the evac point doesn't become active until AFTER you've stolen the Blacksite Vial.

In my experience it's always behind the facility, you need to go out the back.

always behind the facility and mostly on the higher ground, like Dasa sayed, the camera shoud point at it after you got the vial on one of your soldiers

That has been my experience.

Except for the last time I played that mission a few days ago. There the evac point was on a road back the way I had come in.

Black site mission once you pick up the story item you will get the flare for extraction.

Also 2 wave of enemy reinforcements will spawn 1 by 1 if you stick long enough to farm them for exp.(easy to OW ambush them.)
