I don't like this mechanic. First of all it makes little to no sense how we almost bump in mid-air several times before it SUDDENLY realizes it's the resistance ship and comes back to hunt me after like a month.
This sounds like a scene from Looney Tunes where the Avenger is Bugs Bunny and the UFO is Elmer Fudd.
Also I would like to have the option to not do evasive maneuvers and face it head-on. We've already established that the aliens want the Avenger back in one piece so they will only do an infantry attack on land. Let them come! Frostmourne hungers.
Better to not overthink it, it´s simply the game way of doing the base attack mission from the original, 2 and Apocalypse.
Evasion exists, the percentage... good question. While I had the dark event I would say 50% for me too (veteran difficulty). Evaded first time, attacked second (the event last for a set amount of days too)
Also was attacked after going to the black market and staying still. WAD? Dunno.
If it´s about planning, expect one base defense per Dark Event, and those are really annoying if you can´t snipe the post and GTFO fast.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Had 2 UFO chases. Once shot down, once evaded.
good point! IFO then?)
