W A R suit for wich class
hi guys

i was wondering for wich class u use the war suits at the begining i was only equiping them on mine grenandiers too keep all demo work on the same target but now im a bit further in the game and i must say the blaster cannon with 45yard range works pretty nice on the sharpshooters and shredstorm cannon and plasma cannon i like too combo on mine rangers (and theey get the extra armor from suit for close combat ofc)


i mostly take 2 war suits in mine sqaud off 6guys too a randommission u guys take more or less ?

was just wondering how u guys like too use the warsuit in combo with heavyweapon and class

The Grenadier benefits the best from the EXO and WAR suits, because of the Salvo ability which permits them to take another action after firing.

But really, they work well on any class; I've used them on Rangers and Psi Ops to good effect.

My grunt units, what I mean is the troops that will be on the front lines of my squads. They get the extra armor and are able to bring superior firepower quickly to my front. Any class should do but my grunts are usually a ranger and a psi.

On Grenadier at first, then everybody. Ranger is very suitable for shredstorm and plasma. You can sneak to the side then kill every alien in the range. While blaster is best at pulling.
I just wonder why shredstorm has a much bigger range AND a higer damage than plasma, since they are at the same tec level. in late game I spent all my resource tring to get more shredstorm.

I disagree with the general concept about the grenadier because they already have a lot of long range AoE and don't really need more, they're also backliners and not too exposed to damage. I put them on my rangers, first because it has extra armor and rangers are the frontline, usually tanking damage when needed, second because they haven't got any form of long range and can't do anything if they are too far, so the WAR/EXO gives them something to do if they can't get close on time to help on that turn.

I depends on what skills you have given your grenader IMOP.

If you have conentrated on Heavy weapon trainging then he needs the extra slot for an ammo mod.

If you have taken more from the Grenader options then the WAR/EXO suit is best for the extra he option's

after that as you get more suits then i would give them to my rangers and PSY as they tend to get closer to the enermy

That will brutally reduce the amount of itens you'll bring on a mission, also squadsight snipers won't be able to go to a roof and shoot on the same turn and won't be close enough to use the powered weapon either.

Grenadier: fairly good option, especially with Salvo. You gain one shot of heavy weapon, but lose extra item slot. My typical grenadier layout is 2xplasma or acid bomb, and either EMP bomb or BS ammo. The GTS perk to crit with explosives ought to be remembered.

Sharpshooter: I really prefer the wraith suit grapple on these guys.

Specialist. Gotta have skulljack for hack bonus and medkit. Regular armor there.

Assault. I love the mobility of wraith or the extra slot on warden that allows carrying things like mimic while using special ammo.

Psi Op is good candidate for war/heavy weapon, but it seems like about every turn, there are better things to do with them.
