Your most deadly soldier(s)?

While it's necessary to have several "teams" ready to go at any given time in the game, I typically have an "A" team for missions that are particularly difficult.

That said, I'm curious about who was your ACE, the top solider, the big dog, Alpha on the block etc.

For me, it actually came in the form of my long range sharpshooter, followed very closely by my Ranger (who typically provides her the eyes she needs to take out the big nasties down range.

So far, over 60 some kills under her belt, and she's domed more than a few aliens from across the damn map.

Rapidly climbing the latter is my DMR sharpshooter (who is more medium range with her pistol skills) and my Grenedier.

These 4 soldiers (besides either of my two medics) accompany my troops on every single mission for the most part.

I typically go to great lengths to ensure these guys have an escape route, and stay alive as they Sherpa the rookies and so on.

I got a ranger with rapid fire, implaceable and serial. Every kill refunds my entire action bar. Technically the most "deadliest soldier" is grenadiers with salvo, dealing the most damage.

Lol my sharpshooter is my main badass as well. She takes out anything in front of her. Next to her would be my ranger and grenadier (they both have the same number of kills). After that would be my psi operative (he doesn't have many kills, but his domination skill makes him a dangerzone all by himself). My specialist is dangerous in the sense that he is the team's lifeline. Last would be my second grenadier, he's got a decent amount of kills and like my other grenadier he's got the WAR suit on.

That said, I try not to rely on them too much, I've mostly been ranking my other troops as well, seeing as these guys are too valuable to die. Still, Alpha team ftw

for me it's my medic specialist Cynthia [yea that one from Alien series]. She is having stock and muzzle on rifle making 2 full hp miss executions so far + max overwatch shots count in one turn was 4 - full mag. I believe she rekt over 70 xenos and will probably win this campaign...or i lose with her death

I found my dead from above Grenadier to be quite fun :P
Salvo Rupture chainshot normal shot normal shot... till you stop killing something with the mini gun or run out of ammo and autoloader.

very situational but quite fun indeed.

Before my last Commander campaign went ka-put, my blade-ranger was, by a pretty good margin, my deadliest soldier. At last tally, he had 10 missions under his belt and 42 kills to his name.

Dude was an absolute menace.

I'd say mine is my Sharpshooter. Last night on a black site we dropped right in on two pods. 3 grenades weakend them all, then my shooter, (with Serial and a Superior Mag), killed all 6 in one turn. That rocked.

Plus the shooter's Cone of Fire thing once hit all 6 mobs when I ambushed 2 pods at once. He didn't kill any of them, but he weakened them enough so that 4 of the 6 were killed in the ambush by other Troops.

I too would have to say sharpshooter, then again she does tend to get really lucky with her shots.

She is the one i would say is my deadliest based purely on number of kills, my ranger being a close 2nd.

My first big dog was Col. Kenji "Sandman" Ito followed very closely by Col. Yuzuki "Boomer" Kobayashi Yuzuki was a EU vet my star player from my first successful campaign she was my Volunteer, powerful combat Psychic, and my toughest Assault. So it seemed natural to bring her into XCOM 2 to help continue the fight... Still need to bring the other five heavy hitters over as well.

My sniper had the most kills. Yet the Specialist is a hacking genius. Both are my favs. Nevertheless, its a team effort and all have earned respect from their commander.

SpoilerMust admit the commander character at the end is pretty badass. Hope we get to see him/us in the upcoming dlc's.

I have a sharpshooter who just got rapid fire from the AWC at col. Level. Combine that with superior scope and aim pcs, ap bullets and deadeye, and holy damage batman!

That is the same with me. The sniper should be sharing those kills with other team members. Especially the Grenadier. Instead, she is to selfish to share. Always saying "Boomba" like she did it all.

Similar to your 2 top dogs, my 2 were a sniper nicknamed "Tombstone" (28 Missions, 112 kills!) Closely Followed by my slicer/dicer Ranger nicknamed "Jaws" (29 Missions, 97kills). And yes, grenadiers and specialists were essential to their success (teamwork ftw!)
