Request: How to reduce scanning times

Is there a mod or a .ini change that will reduce the amount of time it takes to scan at sites? I want more things to be able to happen per month. On that note, is there a way to increase the frequency of missions ?

Interesting request, there will probably be a few ini tweaks to change this.
Why do you really want this, anyway? Things happen at reasonable pace, it makes you choose your priorities and manage your research and engineering. Making more happen a month just makes it.. easier. Save more retaliation missions.

I want to do more stuffs ! Easier or not, more missions more things more stuff will be fun. Not entirely sure it would be esier though, as you might wind up with more soldiers in hospital too. Anyway - if I can work out how to do it, I can find out what impact it has on the game.

Yah well it beats me how to do this :( It is just annoying when it takes 7 days to scan some boxes, and you get interrupted 5 times in the middle of it, and in the end you get 36 supplies out of it.

There is a mod that reduces scanning times. Also, sometimes when you hack the network towers in missions, there is occasionally an option to reduce scanning times by 50% for the next 4 weeks.

Thank you. It's truly located in mentioned ini file. I just want to add following line in here:

[XComGame.XComGameState_PointOfInterest]

Below this line you can edit scan time but just for POI.

Scanning Sites Plus gives you more missions. It does not change scanning time but gives you more for each.

I think it's a great idea to add the exact solution to the thread for those of us who find it with google later.
