where are saves located?

I want to start a new play through but not lose my old one with the newer ones saves. Where can I find the saves?

where in the xcom folder though, I dont see anything titled saves

Inside of that is a folder named "SaveData".

ok i have this folder and the game does not save any fix for this issue?

Is the folder empty? Is it write protected? Inside SaveData there should be a bunch of files.

profile.bin - Seems to contain general progress and settings, campaign numbers etc.
steam_autocloud.vdf - Presumably something to do with cloud saves.

save_[name] - Your actual save files... You should see several of these if you've tried to make some saves.

I'd suggest that if you have files in there already, but nothing is saving, delete them (Make a backup first) Start the game over and check that they've been re-created. Maybe something went wrong with your profile file?

i made a save but nothing i mean nothing is inside that folder :/

the only file inside that folder is the steam_autocloud.vdf
