Dark Events durations
So I'm getting / have been a tad confused here.. When I uncover dark events most (but not all) say 'for one month'. When I am given the 'pick one of three' option some (but not all) say 'for one month'. Sometimes the things that initially said 'for one month' don't in the 'pick one of three', and sometimes it seems like (and this could be entirely in my head) the same event carries over across two 'dark events' cycles.. So my questions:

1) Do all events beyond the avatar counter last only a month? (repeat of an earlier person's question 'Permanent Dark Events' but that one closed down I'm guessing before game release)

2) Do dark events you don't stop always go into effect after you don't stop them? (And if not, can you tell which ones you'll get a second chance to stop?)

Sorry, just getting confused here..

They do seem to last only one month (probably 4 weeks in fact), save for the avatar project progress, even when they don't explicitly state so. You can view currently active dark events from the dark events screen. Dark events you do not stop do not always take effect immediately, but they always do, you cannot stop more than one dark event from the same batch.

Dark Events don't always trigger if you don't do them. I think the game basically moves them from right to left, with the leftmost being the next one it will do, but how long it is until the one past that is unknown. They can also be delayed by 2 weeks by one of the mission objective hack rewards.
Also all Dark Events except one time things like reducing the timer until facility/retaliation, increasing avatar counter, and reducing your next supply drop are 1 month. I'm not COMPLETELY certain on that for Hunt XCOM though.

That's definitely wrong. Plenty of times I've had situations where dark events from the previous batch hadn't activated yet by the time the next op came around.
And one time a dark event initiated while I was flying to a guerrilla op site (or maybe it was in Beaglerush's stream? can't remember)

So what I'm hearing so far is that events only last a month aside from avatar (that seems to be consistent across everyone) and that there's no specific indicator on whether I'll get another chance to block an event - but it may be the case. Sweet, much thanks! (Hopefully at some point they'll add an indicator if that's the case, a mechanic only produces interesting decisions when the rules are known)
