Advent Burger
It's mentioned during your time in the Avenger, so I wonder if there are more stuff on things like these.

P.S: Those Advent burgers that your soldiers seems to can't get enough of, isn't what you think they are.

You mean they really are made of cows?

EDIT: No, I think they must be made of mutton

Couple of conversations about in on your base and on one mission to a meat packing plant they point out that theres no cows.

It is said Advent prohibited people from having pets; I can't remember if they exterminated animal life (bar humans) aswell or just banned people from having pets.

That said I do belive the burgers come from the humans that were being processed in the Advent Facilities; Not all of them made it as sucessful test subjects so they had to go somewhere...

I looked online, there claims to be information saying that the meat is 'synthesized' based on what a image file from the SDK says and if you 'translate' it into english by fixing the letters to look more like english.

So how do you synthesize meat? You grow it in a lab, but you don't synthesize it out from nothing, so you'd use 'genetics' to do so.

So while the elders wants to funnel specific genetics for their cure, the leftovers has to go somewhere.

When all you need is a genetic code, you'll still have ~150lbs of prime eatin' left over.

Are you guys discussing this now for real? It is an obvious callout to Soylent Green, nothing more. Shame you guys didn't see that movie...

You still can't create something out of nothing, they have to use 'recycled' proteins, and utilize 'genetics' to alter it...

It's possible that Cows went extinct because the aliens abducted them for their experiments, but they kept records of their genetics and can use them in their synthesis, but needs protein to back that up.

Perhaps all the cows were used to breed chryssalids and then the chryssalids were slaughtered for their meat.

And in real science today growing meat in a lab is a thing now.

I havent actually seen Soylent green, but I know what its about and I think youre right. Advent burgers are most likely a reference to it.

Blew up more than a few of their... "production" facilities, it's just giant tanks that squirt "meat" onto a conveyor belt.
