sell alien alloys, elirium cores and all your corpses
Poptart Prime Feb 15, 2016 @ 2:03am
NOPE! DON'T YOU EVER SELL AN ALIEN CORE ! They're rare and in my finished latest game only 7 turned up! (Might be really bad luck).

The crystal and alloy are somewhat expendable and often show up on scanning sites but being short on them is a real anus pain. (You can sell all of them if you're feeling cocky)

You can sell the corpses, sure, But always keep a few though, you don't know when you need them.

Some weak gun mods can be sold too. They aren't that powerful anyway. 5% insta-kill? Pfft.

Datapad is a good cash boost if Intel is not needed and try to focus on what the market is interested by the meantime.

Janirobe is a troll. Don't listen to him.

I hold onto most stuff unless the Black Market is specifically paying more for those things. I save the rest until they are going to sell for more, or I'm almost ready to finish the game.

Core is rare, save it as last resource to sell.
Alloy and Crystal sellable, it can get from supply raid. BUT save for research too.

You wont think that a second beyond the moment your opening shot on a Sectopod (or worse) does an execute shot! LOL Even 5% chance is darned good. Don't sell any repeaters unless everyone has one and you can give them advanced or superior ones.

Some of the weapon mods are usually expendable (non advanced or superior). Advent trooper corpses (save few for research) And... special grenades unless you intend to use them... the rest depends what you have researched and built. You can sell some alloys or cores, if you want to risk it and desperately need the supplies.

Save Trooper, Stun Lancer, Faceless, Viper, and Berserker corpses. They're needed for building items. (specifically, Troopers are needed for EXO suits and some armors, Stun Lancers are needed for Spider suits, Faceless for Mimic Beacons, Vipers to upgrade medkits and then build any afterward, and Berserkers for the combat drugs)
Officer, Shieldbearer, MEC, Turret, Andromedon, Archon, Chryssalid, and Sectopod are all useless after the autopsy, and you only need 1 to autopsy (though having enough of them will let you autopsy them instantly).
You'll need some Sectoid corpses to unlock Psionics and build the Improved Amp. You need a Gatekeeper corpse after the autopsy to make the Alien Amp (which means you need 2 in total). Once you build the amps both are useless.

Very nice list. Big thanks.

basically all corpses that you do not need for Items or research, or corpses that are very common (Advent Trooper, Sectoid) but only if they pay premium. Advent or Alien Datapad (on premium) if you value Supplies over Intel.

For example Viper corpes can be sold if you have more than 2 (Commander Difficulty) you do not need more. Similar, you only need one Officer corpse for the autopsy.

edit: Just read that you need Viper corpses to build Medikits after the upgrade. So build 2-3 Medkits, than upgrade and sell off Corpses.

Sell nothing. I totally missed out on middle tier armour because I'd sold all my xxxxx's and they weren't appearing in missions anymore. I had to ride it out until I could research and build the top tier armour... made the early/mid game quite tough.

Why is a necromancer like him doing in a sci-fi game like this?
