Can't stabilize or heal my unconscious soldier?

My best grenadier got slapped by a Chryssalid, knocking him unconscious and poisoned. His health has been dropping due to the poison and he's about to die, so I move my medic to him and she can't f***ing do anything? The options to stabilize or heal are greyed out and it says "No targets available" even though she's standing right next to him!?

He's going to die and this game won't let me do anything about that? WTF?

Stabilize is only on the Medic Specific branch of the Specialists Abilities with their Gremlin as far as I'm aware. Also it could be that you're currently out of AP for that character as healing require 1 AP in order to do.

She's definitely not out of AP. She still has the options to shoot enemies and carry the grenadier. I've given her a nanomedikit and she is able to heal the conscious soldiers near her, but not my dying guy, so I dunno WTF is going on.

What you need in this situation is a revival protocol from the medic tree. That ability will remove the unconscious effect.

ok..........if you run out of medkits you CANT stabalize

anyone can carry a medkit - = 1 stabilaize or heal

pretty sure it costs 1 action point

Yeah, which is why I don't know why it's not working. She has the medkit and can heal other soldiers, just not the unconscious dying one. It's telling me no targets are available when that's clearly wrong.

oh ♥♥♥♥ man, i recommend u go back and get into an old save file, because u have to get an specific abitlitie to wake up unconscious players, i dont remember needing to heal my unconscious guys so cant help ya with it

If nothing else works, walk next to the unconscious soldier and pick him up. Call the Avenger for an evac zone and see if you can fly him out before the poison kills him.

Yep you can evac unconsiocus and dead soilders to salvage them.

You can't heal soldiers that're unconcious or bleeding out, but you can carry them to evac.
You need solace/revival protocol to remove their status infliction first, and THEN you can heal them.

Yeah I just did an emergency evac to save him. The rest of my soldiers had to finish the mission and now they're all out of combat for 15 days and more lol. Thanks

I'm sad/glad that I'm not the only one to run into this. Sadly I can't evac a unit during a MAIN MISSION.

The more likely thing was that he wasn't actually on the tile depicted visually, since you can indeed stabilize bleeding out units with no required skills/class.
