Using mindshield on Psi soldier?

Are psi soldiers immune to panic and mind control? Not sure what to equip in their second slot, and was wondering if a psi shield is useless to them.

I would only put a mindshield on a Psi Operative if they got shaken, but I haven't seen that happen yet.

Depends on there stats due you can also mind control psi alien and higher will squad can also resist mindcontrol in late game.
