Do your Sniper Rifle aguments carry over to your Pistol...?
Or would adding stuff to the Sniper Rifle of a Gunslinger be a waste?

It is only for the gun it is attached for. So no
Burusagi Feb 13, 2016 @ 1:58pm
Well that's definitely a huge strike against the class/abilities then...

Nope. However, special ammo from Proving Ground does carry over to pistol.

It would have been absurdly OP if Repeater applied to pistols. :P

Sniper gunslingers are good but not great. They are good for dealing damage but mid game where everything has armor and a plasma pistol only does 1 damage then your sniper is good.

I use my full gunslinger for missions where there is more advent because that is what it is good for. But everything else you need to use the rifle

I'm not sure they do. Mind with some of the gunslinger perks, especually taking a shot at all visible targets, it would be pretty overpowered if they do.

Ammo makes sense as that's not connected directly to the rifle. For the rest, I'd probably whack on a scope for extra aim when you do need to pull out the rifle, and possilby a stock and/or a repeater to make it count as well. Up to you.

It does not count, attachments do not add to secondary weapons

Nope, Just Ammo. But when you but poison or fire on your gunslinger. And just apply all the burns its a great feeling.

Reduce everything into small ammounts of HP, shred them - have Gunslinger use Faceoff and insta-kill everything on the map close to you or have Dragon Rounds on it and set everything on fire.... profit?

...Guess how my Gunslinger saved that Legend Ironman mission/run, just take a wild guess. Spoiler: I didn't lose.

Actually, they seem to do so?

Installed a Superior Laser Sight on my Sniper Rifle and the Pistol abilities have the same Critical Chance as the Sniper Rifle abilities...?

Through the GTS you can get a permanent bonus of +10% crit chance on sharpshooters, the bonus is coming from there. But if the bonus is at 15% chance then it must be a glitch/bug since the weapon upgrades don't carry over to secondary weapons (just like upgrades on shottys don't affect swords, etc)

Next time you see that crit chance on your pistol in-game click on the small arrow that lets you see the crit/aim modifiers before a shot and check where the crit is coming from

There's also the fact that crit chance is usually worked out on distance and position. The only skill that raises it for sharpies is Deadeye.

Yeah but the Sniper Rifle should have +15% from the Laser Sight.

you say that, but my AP rounds on my sniper rifle, do not effect my pistol, I've done multiple missions and i deffo don't get the AP bonus on the pistol

No, the bonus lasers state they apply are totally not flat/fixed. I've been seeing the bonus from the superior laser sight go all the way from 12% to 20+% on my shotgun. It varies according to distance but it is never a flat +15% increase unlike what the tooltip says

Are you sure? AP rounds are not suposed to shred armor or deal more damage, they just bypass armor. If your weapon does 1 damage it will still only deal 1 damage if bypassing armor.

Not saying you lie but it's hard to believe. I've tested Poison Rounds and Dragon Rounds and both work, setting things on acid burn / fire burn regularly and dealing an extra point of damage
