I tend to grenade a group so they split then use the gunslinger sharpshooterto pistol them all out of existance at once.

Skullmind them(does it work on them? didnt try tbh), or make a crit with T3 Shotgun from 1 tile away.

Flashbang. If you don't have that, just be prepared to use 3-4 actions dealing with her. Remember to open with the biggest hit, so the remains have less health.

Skullmine the bastard if you get the chance _preferably_ without placing a specialist next to a death trap.
Whatever you do, do it fast, next turn it will hit you with a hope-you-modded-your-gun-with-free-reloads-herp-derp-♥♥♥♥-zone.

It's the Archons I seem to have real issues with. That damned flying bonus and partial hits mechanic. The Codex is more of an annoyance really as is goes down fast enough. Of course I just know by saying that one will cause a squad wipe in the next mission I do.

Put everyone on overwatch and it will die bouncing around the map.

Totally depends on the situation. On my first playthrough they gave me quite a headache at the beginning. Now its either skulljack, oneshot - or if neither works for the moment - try to get rid of the clones by using grenadier grenades and take some additional enemies with it, or at least damage them. Another thing that works well if there are plenty in close vacinity - Reaper.

Grenadiers with the right grenades takes care of all your problems. Also don't be shy to use mimic beacons / flashbangs / smokegrenades.

First attempt at the game didn't go so well, so I restarted. I'm on the mission where you kill it for the first time. It's pretty annoying when I have my troops hunker down on full cover yet the codex gets a critical..
