How to reset the campaign counter?

I know it has nothing to do with the gameplay, but how do I do it? I deleted my profile, deleted everything related to the game on my machine, deleted the game, deleted Steam, but after I reinstalled everything and started a new Ironman campaign the campaign number is the same as before. I want to read that I'm playing Campaign 1, not Campaign 25.

Did you remember to disable Cloud saves?

u have to profiles, 1 in steam folder 1 in savegame folder, the folder that contains save data also contain some other stuff..
miy folder was in my documents, my games, and retained some stuff that didnt get deleted when i uninstalled game, it jsut uninstalled teh stuff in steam folder
dono if deleting that resets teh counter tho
also rem there is the individual game app folder (game ID) that might contain stuff too

on a another note, why does it matter to you that it says campaign 25 instead of 1?

I deleted everything, in all the folders, to no avail. And, as I said, I know it doesn't matter in terms of gameplay, but I just don't like to start a campaign for real, after several test runs to learn the ropes, and see it's Campaign 25 or whatever.

Right-click the game in Steam and go Properties > Updates > Steam Cloud

Not sure but it is strange, to me, that my saves listed are Campaign 5, 7, and 519. Holy hell I must've lost a lot of campaigns while sleep-playing or something.

You just need to delete everything from c:\Users\[userName]\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\SaveData\
It reseted my ironman campaing number back to 1. I also disabled first Steam Cloud, but I'm not shure if that's necessery.

Just weird to look campaign 50, yet I don't remember starting the game over and over so many times.
