-Major Jake "Top Shelf" Cartwright, Sharpshooter, sniper style. Foolishly put in the line of fire by his commander.
-Major Konrad "Sparks" Kohler, Medical Specialist. Died selflessly resetting the Advent timer, by a random explosion cause by a grenade tossed by a panicked teammate.
-Major Sophie "Pale Rider" Wright, Sharpshooter sniper, put in a poor elevated exposed position by his foolish commander.
Major is a bad rank for me, keep losing them.
I have lost sooooooo many snipers. I keep getting them elevated and exposed.

When you start a new game, it lets you pick Ironman. Basically, there is just one save for the whole campaign.
In their honor, I shall kick Bradford in the genitals eiughty-three times, once for each year of their life expectancy lost.
We are also gathered today to remember Sq. Sergei Vasilyev, whom I sacrficed to save the rest of his team and because this game does not have Russian voices anymore. He understood, he needed to be removed because nobody likes an American-sounding Russian. They are supposed to be stereotypical, and complete with awesome accents.
He died as a true Russian should, with his leader not giving a **** about him for petty reasons. His courage was unquestionable, his bravery unmatched; at one point he was on fire and kept fighting. Exactly how he caught fire is unknown to me, I never ordered him through any fire, but then I was and am still learning the game. I choose to believe that the vodka in his body spontaneously combusted.
Ourrah pobieda, Sergei.
- RIP a few low ranks whose name I don't remember. They were expendable lol.
- RIP Colonel Amar "Chief" Tan. Survived the official novel, a year-long war, but died in the final mission. Point blank Double Shot at 100% hit chance & 106% crit chance is great, until the enemy dodges both shots.
- RIP Colonel Kathy Chitto. I guess it's totally my fault that I sent her to one of the high ground platforms in the final mission. Sure, the first couple turns she had amazing Serial and Death from Above kills. What I should have realised is that there is a teleportation gate on that same platform. There wasn't much I could do when 4 Berserkers spawned from the gate and immediately surrounded her...
I killed everyone from the novel. yolo
I lost 8 people. All of them early-mid game.
One time, I had to kill or capture a VIP and a lot of enemies appeared and a reinforcement on the way.
I had to choose between fighting or evac ASAP and was checking how far they could go.
One dude was ONE tile from the evac.. Sad to say, but I had to leave him.
He died brutally with all the enemies storming him.
You will be remembered. o7
And this win was for all of the brave lost soldiers out there.

Now this is what I am talking about! Well done, (Bows head in silence.)
As they gave their lives for our freedom, we grant them their moments of silence. Their spirit lives on!
I also lost many aspiring freedom fighters early on. Is it wrong that all my squaddies wear red shirts?
