Specailists are actually a thing in this game that you cant afford to treat like a red headed step child that nobody wants.
Those guys are wat you need to Mine Intel out of the minds of the Goons ppl call Advent.
I know your Damage Dealers want to have more target practice but you have to figure your first thing to do is while concealed find Advent soldiers and then pull their brains out through the nose and see if you find anything.
EDIT: Wait what? I can I do that with my specialist? Is this some sort of ability?
The Skulljack from the Proving Grounds (Preferably with the Skullmining upgrade to boost your soldiers' hacking skill) will let you charge an ADVENT unit and one-hit kill them in melee. Even if the attack 'misses' they die, but if it hits you also open up a hacking screen. Failure means the soldier takes damage, success can unlock a number of benefits from intel to alien facility leads.
