Has anyone by any chance confirmed this?
You can upgrade your Psi weapon to increase damage. Will stat will not affect your dmg output. I doubt they would make it so that you can use will AND weapon upgrades to upgrade you dmg output. That sounds OP
- Psi disability resistance (not damage)
- Mind control and the likes (direct flat reduction)
- Panicking resistance when things go wrong to other teammates.
Psi directly contributes to a psi-op's skill success rate (not damage)
It's a separate stat from Will and isn't accounted for on defense.
An easier way to explain this would be
PSI = Offense stat.
Will = Defense stat.
TL:DR: WIll doesn't help a psi-op hit better or harder.
Basically, whenever you use a psyonic skill, the game compares your PSI skill to the targets Will, and determines the chance of success afterwards.
It would only be logical to assume, that any alien with psyonic abilities also has a PSI skill (hidden), which it uses whenever it makes an attack against your troops.
I think avatars are the only ones that pass 100 and even then they hardly succeed mind control on high will characters.
