First thing movie related that I noticed was that the voice of the mystery bald guy is the guy who does the honest trailers on youtube. Can't unhear it now. He also sounds a bit like Duke Nukem lol.

The Avenger sounds a lot like GLaDOS, though I know that's not a movie reference.
the mecs remind me of the droids from Star wars Phantom Menace (i hated that movie)

By the way - did anyone notice that the "Avatar" character model is heavily reminiscent of the protagonist from Azureus Rising?

Azureus Rising reminds me of Ghost in the Shell for some reason

The entire story is ripped off from Earth: Final Conflict.

The entire story is Mass Effect 2. It plays almost like a movie.
Central (and his crappy quality videos) is Hacket. He even sounds the same.
Advent are cerberus troopers. A combination of human and alien tech.
Your recruiting a super sqaud to save the day.
You have a unique super ship that your building up and doing research on.
You have to collect supplies to progress.
The enemy is using human goop as an ingredient pool.
You have infintie ammo.

Im also pretty sure ME2 use the UE engine, a modder could probably import the ME models and audio into this.

Mass Effect uses one of EA's engines as far as I know. Also, much of what you described is Mass Effect 3, not Mass Effect 2. ME2 doesn't involve a lot of fighting Cerberus troopers. And if you want to talk about derivative storylines, the entirety of Mass Effect is a reimagining of Star Crontrol 2's storyline with the Reapers filling in for the Ur-Quan Kor-Ah while the Proteans fill in for the Arilou. It's been way too long since I played Star Control 2 so I don't remember the specifics, but there's a reason Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 have the space gameplay that they do. The solar system view is identical to that of Star Control 2 and planet exploration is very similar, with sending a little craft to brave the elements while collecting resources.

If you look hard enough, you can track down most stories to the same general bit of source material. For sci-fi, it usually either goes back to Robert Heimlein by means of Warhammer 40 000 by means of StarCraft or 2001: A Space Odyssey by means of 2010: The Year We Make Contact or Alien by means of Aliens.

Had my British gunslinger quote "I'm your Huckleberry" before wasting a Muton with fan fire. Doc Holliday quote from Tombstone (awesome movie!)

Yeah it's definitely more mass effect than anything else. One of the achievements is even called shadow broker lol

Also not really a reference but the story has a lot of similarities to Half Life 2. Aliens come in, take over Earth and set up a dictatorship. Advent troops are like Combine soldiers, genetically modified trans-human soldiers mentioned as being a "reward' for cooperative citizens. The more alien enemies are re-purposed species from other planets, much like things like Striders and Hunters in HL2.

The spokesman is like Dr. Breen, a human representative acting as the Aliens' voice to the rest of Earth.

That's the story of every post-apocalyptic "humanity enslaved" future all the way down the Planet of the Apes, though. It was in an episode of the Ninja Turtles! :)

Half-life 2: The RTS, except we actually got episode 3 of kicking the invader's ass this time.

There are enough tropes under the sun that reference everything to everything. Copyright is a lie. lol.
