Which comes with even BIGGER superweapons than the EXO suit.
I prefer specialised 'proving ground' armor myself. But more choices are better and a one time investment can give you more time to work on other stuff (saving cores for example).
Just up to your playstyle.
WAR suit is good.
But imagine I already have 5 EXO suits... the upgrade is very small for the cost.
I know I have to research it to get the WAR suit, I'm talking about buying the upgrade.
I guess it's my fault for relying on EXO suits too much :p
The advantage is you get an extra inventory slot on your troops over the EXO. For medics and hackers, this can be huge, as it lets them mount a skulljack AND special ammo, or a medkit and special ammo.
Grazie. I've managed to do okay in the mean time (six squad, two exo and two spider), but figure I'll go ahead and grab the powered and soon as it's finished.
