Grenades
Is anyone else experiencing issues where clicking on the 'launch grenade' button causes the soldier to occasionally choose their own target at random? I noticed it also occurs with targeted abilities i.e. the gremlin; I don't think it's me pounding Mouse0 - could we get a fix so grenades/abilities trigger on mouse-button release?

Performed a cursory search for a similar issue in the forums but turned up nothing.

I haven't had this issue at all, and I was using a 3 grenadier squad.

If I had to guess, you're double tapping the hotkey and it's firing it at the cursors location.

I get lag sometimes, that makes my guys do an entirely different action than I wanted.

I get this too. I thought I was getting some sort of clickthrough of the hud button to throw the grenade. I could be getting a doubleclick but I don't get it in any other place just grenades. I now use the appropriate number key for grenades instead of the hud button.

yes, found that using the hotkeys avoids the problem.. it only comes if you click the buttons with the mouse. Don't think it's lag, it just fires in a completely random direction. Can be devastating on an ironman game if it triggers.

No double clicking , one click and the grenade is randomly launched by my soldier missing the target completely.
My theory is that it's because of lag - although I've not experienced noticable lag during missions , only in the cut scenes.

I always use hotkeys with rare exception and have not had this issue. I think it's a UI issue combined with input problems (not you but the game if you think I'm implying that). Using the hotkeys and tab/shift to switch soldiers will probably really help speed up your play, if you feel the game is a bit sluggish which might be another reason to try using them.

It's damn frustrating when it happens to you......

Since encountering this bug I've been trying to use the hotkeys more. Just gotta remember to use them in the heat of battle.

Although it would be awfully nice if the game worked properly on release.......

This happens to me all the time. I waste explosives, lose soldiers, and fire at the wrong target. I can't pin down what causes it. It happens with the mouse, It happens with the hotkeys.

I started having this issue after the latest patch/purchase. It is very frustrating.

This problem sounds familiar to an old thread. The UI is registering a double click instead of a single click. I want to say the problem was a game controller connected to the PC maybe? Not sure.

What mouse are you using? There is a possibility it could be the mouse. Don't razor's have that problem sometimes?

Edit: I googled 'XCOM grenade double click' and came up with some old theads. Maybe they would help
