If you're a Blademaster (one of the first skills), I think Bladestorm is definitely the way to go. If not, I don't know.
I've gotten Implacable on a sniper, and it's pretty awesome there. I can take free pistol shots, snipe someone and then move in the same turn.
Bladestorm: Seems to activate when enemies run past you (1 square). Free slash attack.
Implacable: You are free to make one move after killing an enemy (just a move, no overwatch or using items).
'Untouchable' makes implacable largely pointless later on as well. ... Also slightly spoiled but there is a Chryssalid heavy mission later on, and my bladestorm Ranger killed 5 Chryssalids in one turn. I imagine that part of the game is normally incredibly difficult as they attack on the turn they spawn, but for me it was just glorious.
As for which is better? I prefer Implacable, because I haven't found the sword to be very reliable. Bladestorm is pretty damn good against the stun guys (forget name) and Chryssalids, though.
Bladestorm is crap because it requires the sword and the to hit ratio with sword is rubbish.
You're thinking of "Untouchable".
You're talking about Shadowstep. Implacable allows you to move again after scoring a kill.
Bladestorm is a defensive skill (wait to be attacked, ugh). Also, there is no guarentee your Ranger will be in position for Bladestorm to trigger. Might be handy in some rare situations but I dunno.
Nope, Shadowstep lets you ignore reaction fire and overwatch :)
Yeh this should be down as a bug as you can't exit the function. Without just ending the turn.
Yeh only it never works.
Otherwise, if you're a scout phantom, you may as well take implacable.
