XCOM 2
Combat Log?
Is there a combat log?

Reason for asking is that one of my troopers spent half a mission carrying a dead girl around, because I thought she was just unconscious. She meleed a Muton and got counterattacked, but I never saw any "X was killed" message and there was no blood, so I had no idea she was actually dead.

I looked for a combat log to check what actually happened and whether that was a fatal blow or not, but since I couldn't find that information, I figured I'd better bring her home just in cases ... alas, KIA.

I dont think there is a way to look at the combat log, though if this is not the case I would very much like to know how to.

If someone on the ground is stunned they should have the disoriented effect around their head, if not they are probably dead. That said bringing a dead soldier home is not a complete waste, you lose their weapon and any upgrades it had if you do not recover the soldier, so if they had a lot of upgrades you would be saving quite a bit by bringing the body home. (also its symbolic... NO ONE left behind)

Stunned people have a visible effect. Unconscious people don't, as far as I can see. On the same mission, I also carried an actually unconscious person home, and there was no visual difference between the dead and live one when they're on the ground.

Hmmm, if that is the case there probably should be some kind of effect on them to let you know they are unconscious. In EU it showed them on the ground with 1 hp, does Xcom 2 not do that?

I would really appreciate if Firaxis implements combat log. Sign here.

There is a replay system you can use to see what happened I believe.
