Marksman Face off vs Kill Zone?
Which one is better ? I been getting pistols skills because they are really handy to finish things off etc but kill zone just looks really great has anyone actually tried these?

what do you mean? Is that why mine never works?

How i'm trying to use it: I put the cone over 2 groups of them while still concealed. Then i use another guy to trigger them. But the sniper NEVER shoots

it works once the aliens begin moving, i'd like to say for definate that longwatch definately helps, but im not 100%. though it would make sense for it to work well with it, and it does seem to. havent confirmed. but yeah, main thing, kill zone works when aliens are moving. works best on initial concealment ambush, i find :)

A Good thing to remember is that they need to be visible from the sniper location, a good line of sight. It should work in ambushes as long as it is before they get their reactionary movement, and is in the same turn you reveal yourself.

I'm not sure, that sounds like a bug since the killzone overwatch triggers on any action, not just movement. Unless they just don't take any action when you trigger them. I'd have to see it first hand to tell.

But I specifically meant out of concealment. Really, the gunslinger is just better. But people are stuck in their old habits, going off the assumption that squadsight snipers are as good in this as they were the previous game. The reality is they can be a hindrance in this, especially in timed missions where they are essentially dead weight.

The first 3 or 4 times i tried using it i was 2-3 levels up on the edge of a roof and defintely had LOS. And they did move (if the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ free move counts for 'moving') but he just stared into space and did nothing

This last time i tried it, while 1 level up, it worked just fine on an ambush. So it must have just been a bug the first few times(?) oh well lol

Pair a gunslinger with a grenadier. Watch the body parts hit the floor. Shoot out a grenade, destroy all cover, damage all guys, move gunslinger up, face off, everything dies thanks to high aim and low hp.

Also good for breaking concealment since they have high aim and are technically flanking all units, softens them up for the other overwatches.

Yes indeed, my Mexican war hero Gunslinger executed 5 targets with face off after my aptly named Grenadier 'Hammer' shot a grenade at them
