Lol what's up w/ the mission rating of the game????

I am doing a mission i need to destroy data structure. I successfully destroy data transfer structure and kill most alien in the game. Then reinforcement came by, i decided to evac the mission due half of my squad are down and i cannot afford to lose any vets in my squad. Also that came by are just advent trooper and not worth of my time. The mission ended up failure due i needed to kill all aliens in that mission???

Like really the main objective of that mission is to destroy the data structure. I am guesssing its a poor rating due i killed my own squad and one gravely injured rookie.

I just experienecd this too. I had not killed all enemies which was one of the objectives, but I had retrieved the key item (data or something). I was down to my last man and Central says on the radio I should think about evacing out of there, so I do and bam mission failure.

Just look at the top left of the screen: if it says you need to kill all enemy units, you NEED to do so, or the mission is considered a failure.

It is apart of Xcom. If you ever played long war you would know to pick your battles. You got the item you needed and hat is good you can further the research but you failed to kill all people there.
