How is soilder xp assigned?
Do you only get xp on a kill, or do assists count as well, how about actions such as healing? I couldn't find anything on a google search soooo...

based on a quick look at the XComGameData_XpData.ini file
it seems like exp is awarded for kill, successful mission, medkit heals, stabilization, carrying downed soldiers, killing a flanked(or possibly flanking) enemy and possibly a bonus for all units surviving a mission

on top of that it looks like there's both an exp and kill requirements per rank
of which the kills one is based on difficulty

apart from that there seems to be modifiers for the various mission objectives - not sure if these are awarded to the solider who completes them or if they're tossed into some sort of xp pool which is then shared between everyone at the end of the mission

So, the only thing that's really missing is dealing damage, dominate, crowd control, hacking, and popping cover. That's not that bad, I suppose.

interastingly there's a flag a the top of the file call "bUseFullXpSystem" which is defaulted to false
could be that some of the other stuff have been squirreled away in the internal code

Yeah, I'm far too lazy to try and figure out what some ambigious call to hidden code will change. :D:

It´s ok if you don´t know how the game works. Then stay quiet instead of spreading misinformation.

If someone could put a table on XP values would be interesting, and shame that hacking gives none.

Isn't hacking supposed to give you +5 hack skill when you succeed? Because I've been at 145 for awhile now on my current guy.
