why thyeshould? we have a better games similar like - warhammer40k battlesector/daemongunter, this game was so fun with mods until they update they crap launch and F@#$ up everthing..

Launcher notwithstanding, Battle Sector and Daemonhunters, were good but they were NOT better than xcom 2.

Not necessarily. Firaxis seems to only make one game at a time, and every other game has to be Civ. Perhaps after Civ 7.

Not to mention, WotC was barely 6 years ago, and Chimera squad was only 3.5 years ago. It hasn't exactly been a drought of XCOM content. Sure, we're do for a new game in the next few years, but it hasn't exactly been "forever."

More time has passed since the release of WotC to today than the time between the release of XCOM: Enemy Unknown to the release of WotC.

Many of the devs including Jake Solomon are gone now from the old Xcom team. Midnight suns was put as priority few years back and it flopped pretty hard. Next for Firaxis is some sort of Civ-series game so even if Xcom was still in the plans it would likely be some 4-6 years from now.

I've seen XCOM2 constantly on big sales. Perhaps an XCOM3 is in development.

If you like Xcom (despite the repetitive missions and forgettable story) Gears Tactics has good Xcom-like game play.

It doesn't have a strategy layer like XCOM does, but the tactical layer is fun. The boss battles are also more interesting, imo.

Just bought war of the chosen on steam for 3.99. I don't know if that's a bug or not but like 90% off, I couldn't pass it up.

As far as X-COM3 goes. I hope they go back to the deep sea.
