How to change the Hack skill?
Hello. I am a dirty cheater and I would like to know if there is a way to either change a chance of success in hacking or a hacking skill of my soldier

There are a number if mods that can do it.

I personally like the HackPlus mod which gives you a small skill increase on every hack (+1 on objective unlock, +3 on 2nd target, +5 on 3rd)
A much better system than hoping to get those +20 hack chances. (Of which I saw none in my last two campaigns)

Hack the Hacks :) I like it

I suggest wearing a Skulljack on your specialist will grant you some extra +hack. Try to hack mostly with the specialist(s) of your choice. I reached October in my Commander playthrough and managed to get a tech skill of 245 by now.

Addendum: I dont think you need to cheat or mod it, hacking gets OP in the endgame.

EDIT: Addendum

If you want to change the amount of Hack soldiers get when they level up, you can change the numbers in DefaultClassData.ini
That won't be retroactive, however.

Thats insane. You got five +20s in a single run? My colonel spec with skullmine and M3 gremlin were at 205 after 3 +20s, which is the most in one game I have seen so far...

I saw Mr Odd hack a during a supply raid and one of the possible rewards was a permanent increase to that specialist's hacking.

You get plenty of random +20 opportunities in the game.

I made the hacking screenshots public, i hope you can view them.

Got exactly 0 of those on my last two games...

I will try to push it above 300 before i start the final mission. I want to know if i can achieve a 100% on controlling sectopods - which would be a nice tactic for my next playthrough.

ive only managed to stack 3 +20's on one character, never as many as five lol but its definitely possible.

FYI I don't think you can haywire same unit rwice.
nwm, I found a .ini text that does it.

You can also save. If it fails, load the save, make a move with another charater and it should give you an diffrent outcome. Or did they fixed that in the latest patch?

As far as i remember, moving with a different character will not help you as the outcome is already rolled for this action. Maybe if you retry it in a later round, i will have to try that, but i normally avoid rerolling.

Anyway, to get a high tech skill (without modding), you should try to skulljack advents and hack security towers, sometimes you can gain a tech skill bonus randomly. Security Towers can always be hacked at the end of a mission (if the risk was too high during the mission).

Taking another action that consumes a random number will potentially give you a different result.
