Ambiguous Package Name
Running this on an M2 Max Macbook Pro, getting this error when attempting to launch the game (I can't a way to navigate to this path):

Ambiguous package name: Using 'C:\Feral\Program Files\WinDeveloper\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\CookedPCConsole\._3d_icons.upk', not 'C:\Feral\Program Files\WinDeveloper\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\CookedPCConsole\._3duibp.upk'

Reinstalled, verified integrity. Nothing worked.

It may be worth checking to see if your anti virus is blocking anything.

Mine is doing the same on a M2 Max Studio. I wonder if it's related to Sonoma but can't confirm since I didn't try games on Ventura or if it is related to being installed on an ExFat formatted external SSD but I don't want to use internal storage to test .

I can simply hold the "enter" key down for about 3 minutes as it pops up this dialog for just about every file in XComGame(there are over 6000) and then the app starts up like normal and doesn't appear to affect gameplay. I played through the tutorial and it worked great once in-game, but obviously waiting 2 minutes on startup just to get these dialogs and then another 3 minutes to just hit 'ok' on them all sort of makes playing it a tedious waste of time.

Game works fine on Ventura, but I am also playing on a 2017 intel iMac.

I have also been experiencing this problem on macOS Sequoia on an M4 mac mini.

I guess the issue is related to Apple Silicon devices? It might also be because I installed the game onto an external SDD.

It turns out this was because I was trying to run the game from an ExFAT external SSD.

I re-formatted the external drive as APFS, and now the game is running great =)
