Trying to play on steam deck with steam controller
I have my steam deck docked and plugged into the TV. So then I have my steam controller connected to my steam deck via Bluetooth. This works great but I'm noticing an issue that makes XCOM2 unplayable.

When I try to moons to a different menu option the cursor moves extremely fast and skips over one or two menu options up/down/left/right

Same thing in tactical mode trying to rotate the camera. Most of the time it just winds up doing a 360.

Anyone know how to make it so the controls aren't so sensitive? I tried messing with some of the controller settings but wound up giving up

I had the same problem, because the official controls are junk. Go into the controller settings, select the regular Gamepad input template and then make sure the game itself is set to accept gamepad input instead of mouse and keyboard. No more twitchy controls.

1.) Before you start the game, change the Current Button Layout to the built in Template “Gamepad With Joystick Trackpad”

2.) Start game

3.) All controls appear broken, use touchscreen to navigate to Options -> Interface

4.) Change Input Device from “Mouse” to “Controller”

5.) Click Save

6.) Enjoy!
