You removed multiplayer

I came back to play with my friend on multiplayer, as we usually did.
Obviously, I have not been active on XCOM really at all, but multiplayer was a fun mode for us when it existed.

Honestly ♥♥♥♥ you for removing it. Could not even have replaced it, truly pathetic for such a great game.

Anyway, the point of this is if there is any other way to play multiplayer.

A few things.
1) Yeah, they game some warning it was happening but much like at launch no one really cared.
2) Officially it's only gone for PC, Mac and Linux where hired out to third parties so they still work.
3) I remember there being talk of a way to get it working on PC, but I have long forgotten what.

Any other ways to play multiplayer? I see no reason to keep it for Mac, console, and others but not Windows. Technically I could just screenshare and play a "co-op" campaign.

For normal MP, your best bet would be a mix of hoping someone else turns up here that does know of a way, checking the pinned MP post up top to see if anyone mentioned an option and just doing some standard google searches to see if you can dig anything up yourself.

Okay thank you. If anything I will just buy the older Xcoms or play Xenonauts and screen-share with friends.

I think they know which version to load from steam to use it still?
