XCOM 2
SPARK Repair
I'm having an issue with repairing a SPARK.

I see that my SPARK has 1 health when placing them into my preparation screen before deparing for a mission.

So, I go to repair him. Go into enginnering, there's a slot to assign a SPARK for repairs. So, I select the SPARK.

It states it's repairing it, but it doesn't actually repair the unit. After 10 days, i'll go back to my preparation screen and it still has the 1 health.. It's not working.

Just do nothing with the thing and it repairs on its own...never had one single time the need to do anything with it and it healed like any other unit in the game. let it be and it heals on its own.

I also had that problem. Don't know what causes it but the problem kinda fixed itself after i restarted the game.

I've restarted the game many times. I've waited, gone into the armoury- my SPARK still only has one health..

It's most likely mod related and what I know is that it's better to run shen's last gift with no mods.

Are you using It's Just a Scratch? Get the Shen's Last Gift-compatible It's Just a Spark instead.

I also thought something was up the first time I did this, but then I realized the SPARK repair acts like a soldier wound. The SPARK does not get any repair until its repair time (wound time) has expired, then it pops up to full health. You can check the time in the soldier list.

I've been getting the same problem, but it doesn't tell me how much time is remaining in the soldier list, it doesn't even say "available", it's just blank. Though I can't imagine what mod would be conflicting with the DLC, considering the only mod that directly impacts the SPARK is the EW mec port, which is solely cosmetic. I don't have Just a Scratch installed, or any mod that would tamper with soldier heal times. It may be Squad Cohesion, Bleedout, or Playable Advent, but that's only because I can't think of another mod with a larger impact on my game.

For those suffering with this bug, I have a rather DIY solution:
1. In your Steam menu, right click on XCOM 2 and click Properties
2. Click on Launch Options
3. type in -allowconsole
4. This part requires a bit of the "honour-system": When your SPARK gets injured but refuses to repair, put it in Engineering and use a soldier's wounds as frame of reference (ie: Half Health 4 days, 3 quarter health 8 days, it's your choice) and when a mission rolls around and your SPARK has had what you feel is enough time to "imagine" him healing up.
5. When the mission starts, activate the Console with the default (`) key.
6. Hover over your SPARK and use the command sethp "hp#" (ie: sethp 12 or sethp 10) to set the SPARK's hp to full!

Basically, you can give him max hp at the start of each mission very easily with the console (which doesn't disable achivements), but if you want to get the full feel of the DLC while still being effected by this lame bug, you need to "police" yourself so you don't just set hp to max even if he wouldn't have had enough time to heal should the repair station be working.

On another note, my results have been inconclusive as to which mods could have done this, so starting a campaign in Vanilla may be a good option.
But if this bug is in the vanilla game, then Firaxis has probably gotten about 170,000 complaints about it, and is likely going to be sorted out in the next patch anyway.

I was just going to ask if anyone had this problem. I was using Just a Scratch... I've removed it and will get the updated one and see if it works. Too late for this campaign, anyway, but hopefully it resolves my problem.

I should add both Sparks have been out of service for over a month of game time.

sethp 9, or whatever numbers, doesn't work for me. set hp # looks like it should work, but doesn't. I've tried it on my sparks both in engineering, from the soldiers menu, and from the battlefield.

I can't help but think the syntax needs to be more than that? Anyone?

Like Dragon32 said, the problem could be the "It's just a scratch" mod. That mod has been reported to cause a bug that makes SPARKs irreparable. If playiing with Shen's Last Gift, it's better to use "It's Just a Spark" instead.

Did you make sure to hover your cursor over the Spark before you opened the command menu? It must be done on the battlefield and it works everytime for me.
