What you need to do is: do something different. Take an action that causes those numbers to move to other actions. If you're just reloading and doing the same things, you'll get the same result.
"my tactics are too good to change": uh ... no. "Good tactics" are tactics that fit the situation. If your tactics (that usually work and are usually good) don't work (on the new aliens), then they're not good for those aliens. Use new tactics.
Hunker down. Spread out to get crossfires. Overwatch so that YOU get the reaction shots. If they shoot every time you move: don't move. Slowly retreat and try to draw THEM into YOUR fire.
Wow that is really stupid! what is the point of saving the game then? I should be able to reload saves if i want to if the broken game makes me miss 70% shots. Those are IMPOSSIBLE odds to miss.
Its like the game creators dont know what they are doing... I can make a better game.
Lets see... First of all people would actually never miss.. And second of all enemies can only go after i killed them.
Hunkering down is really good advice.
No tactics are too good to change--if you played EU/EW, or the original X-Com series, then you've already had to change your tactics at least once. You will find a way to do it without losing your soldiers--especially now that you know how Rulers behave.
It is possible to survive every encounter with Rulers, but you do need to make every single action matter--so it takes good tactics to beat them. You can't run in with a mimic beacon on everyone, for example, which had been a favourite tactic of so many in the XCOM player base. That tactic may have worked for them before but will turn them into minced meat in a hurry now.
It's not the end of the world to have to learn better tactics.
fireborn, good job!
Humour can help most situations, but when it isn't clear that you're joking, don't throw gasoline on the fire.
hahhahaa Sarcasme much, how can you be the best at Video Games if you need to savescum LOL
I am suprised nobody really read posts.
[forehead slap] Yup. He got me. I'm definitely NOT the fastest pony in the race. Jeez, how did I not pick up on that?
