So medkit can no longer put out fire?
Because when I used it on burning soldier it healed him, but didn't extinguish fire. And I have never used any mods or ini tweaks(if they even exist) for medkits

Did it ever? I am unsure, because I generally stay clear or fire and/or explosive cover elements. I know it cures chrysallid poison, but not the acid inflicted by Andromedons. Acid damage over time seems to persists after using a gremlin heal, if I remember correctly.

I just looked it up too, and it says that it should.

Edit: Apparently, medikits should cure and remove all status effects. even acid. Don't know if the new dlc changed that.

It's certainly possible. However, your initial theory of medikits no longer removing status effects is also possible. I'm sorry, I don't know.
Medkit heal cure all physical status effects (acid burn, burning, poison etc...) but don't cure mental ones (panic, mind control, disorientation etc...)

It's worth noting that if one of your squad is stood in/near a fire and they are burning, if you heal them and then move them, they will most likely catch fire again as they move. Move them away from the fire/out of the acid before healing them.

Edit: Meant to say medkit heal. Medkit revive cures mental effects.

Then they should have stopped burning.
I don't think medikits cure fire, you have to use the specialists restoration ability to return the soldier to normal status.

This happened to me, the medkit stopped the burning and the character's damage was repaired but the flame graphic continued, it's a graphic glitch.

It wasnt a graphic glitch in my case
