I attempt to finish my turn with no enemies on the board. Cover removal is essential to this and you never have enough nades when your saving them for the "big enemy" so demo works great.
using suppresion alot means your leaving enemies alive often which is opening yourself up to losses.
I might actually conceivably use Demolition. I will never use Suppression because it's far more useful and safer to kill the enemy, and Suppression doesn't help with that, and due to the debuff being cancelled if the enemy activates the reaction shot it's a bad option for disabling the enemy. Also it takes way too much ammo.
The other optoin would be to spam shots with not that great to hit chances. Also not the best option. You might even miss multiple shots. On top of that you wanne deal with this one enemy as efficiently as possible so you can leave the rest of the soldiers with actions on overwatch. Maximizing your firepowre inbetween turns. Potentially weakening other pods that might run into your position.
Demolition is fantastic for those scenarios and I use it all the time. It lets you preserve your actions and your frags. Thus it is an excellent little skill. Mostly underrated by players.
