Cannot pick up dead squadmate carrying boltcaster? (VIP mission)

Now the body wasn't blown up, I've tried multiple spaces around the body, and yet no option to carry body so I can retain weapon? Rebooted game made no difference. Any ideas? The body did not move either, is on the same spot where killed... Just another bug?

Yeah, it's a bug. No way to avoid it, you just sometimes cannot pick up a wounded/dead squadmate, no matter what.

Revive still works on soldiers who are un-pick-up-able, but of course that depends on you bringing a specialist with the revival protocal perk.

After all these patches and Dlcs still no fix for this bug is pathetic.....

I have had that problem before when the body can land several spaces from where it was shot and you have to be where they died to pick them up, also be aware you cannot carry with a Spark only humans can pick up
