How powerful is my laptop, and can it run the game?
Is my pc very low, low, mid or higher end? Definitely assuming it is nowhere near high end

Processor: AMD A10-7300 Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C + 6G 1.90 GHz
Graphics: AMD Radeon R6 Graphics, Approx total memory 6580 MB, Internal DAC 400 MGHz, Full Display Device
RAM: 8 GB (6.95 GB Usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64 based processor
OS: Windows 10

and can it run this game well, if so on which settings? Thanks in advance

I am running this game on a toaster.

well a very old laptop. I'm still using windows 8 because windows 10... had issues.

anyways pretty sure the game will run for you. I've got massive overheating issues so I need a fan under the thing, and the load times are... pretty bad. and some of the animations look a little wonky and the last mission was a bit worrysome for the machine like could it take it?

but ....If I can run it I'm pretty sure you can.

Eh are you using a shared memory graphic card ?
Cause the ram of the graphic card somehow matches the ram available from your main memory.

anyway you can put it on a dedicated graphic card for other games ?
If you can't do that. I wouldn't recommend it for this game.

So see if AMD have the proper driver to put it on a the AMD graphic card. to be sure.
Try it with other games you have first. running it on dedicated AMD graphic card.

You'd have a very hard time running this game. While your RAM is alright, your GPU and CPU are both under the minimum requirements.

My advice to you is to get a desktop if you are serious about pc gaming. Assuming you already have an existing desktop (even if it is crappy) you wouldn't have to spend too much to get a decent gaming computer, especially since GPU prices should have just gone way down with the release of the 1070 and 1080.

If you are intent on trying to play on your laptop, remember that Steam does refunds for games played 2 hours or less, so you could always try it out, though I'd personally not recommend it.

First off lets cut the myth of gaming desktop (which are always cheaper then a gaming laptop)
Cause for both system laptop and desktop you do need some tech knowledge.

A desktop is prefered cause of the price. but doesn't mean most people know what they are buying. as steam charts shows how sad people hardware state are this moment.

With hardware prices in the almost low end of the market.
Even Ram is ridiculous that only 33% of steam users have 8 GB plus.
maybe the numbers have grown by 5% in these 2 weeks. (I hope so) but lets face the reality.

People probaly upgraded 1/2 years ago. if they have 8 GB.
The rest are still waiting or running on ancient machines :P (meaning mainboard sometimes doesn't even use the full 16 GB memory you slot in and is capped at 12 or 8 GB )

Now most people do not check those things. so saying a desktop is beter for those people.
Cause they can upgrade is waste of time. just people should get used to make a machine or buy something for 5 year and stop thinking about upgrade.

Unless they have the techknowhow love to browse the internet. love to twink there machine.
And there is a large portion of PC users who can do that.

But lets take for example fireaxis even with there beast of machine the twitch sometimes lags the gameplay :P says it all.

While with ODD or some other youtubbers or twitch users who know what they are doing the recording or twitch seems very smooth :P

Sure some editing involved. but as ODD xcom 2 is very heavily modded and he even shows the crashes and errors. it says enough how techy you have to get to do stuff.
Why you think Steam is coming out with steam machine. (even if they know they made the wrong kind with only 8 GB but heck that is there msitake :P not mine)

And even I can be wrong, that 16GB will last the next 4 years. so if you want to be safe go for 32 GB (but that is more does windows 10 OS even support that 32 GB ram ? )
Anyway it is always a mess , and one of the reason I didn't upgrade to windows 10. wish I could downgrade to windows 7. (but that didn't come with my laptop) cause then I would have even more resources free :P

Oh I agree with you, but I assume that if somebody is going to try to game they will research what the best parts for their system would be. I could be incorrect though.

There are also websites that can help you to find good parts for your computer even if you don't know much about it.

I'm sure 16GB of RAM will be enough for a while. I'm still sitting at 8, but it's high up on my list of things to buy. I need to get my hands on a 1070 first though.

Windows 7 isn't a downgrade :)

Windows 7 if you still have it keep it :P nothing more to be said.
Infact Microsoft should be selling windows 7 again LOL

But they refuse .. so anybody having windows 7 64 bit version keep it :P
Don't upgrade lol .

I would say you cant run the game. Your computer sounds similar to my old one and the fps was not good.. it was under 15 all the time.

Firaxis hates Nvidia...as most reports about performance problems are from people with high end nvidia GPUS while their far weaker AMD counterparts perform alot better in xcom2_:_
