Advanced/Superior Stock Bug
I read in another thread that if your weapon previously had a normal stock, the game will sometimes give you 1 damage on misses even if you've upgraded to an advanced/superior stock. It happens randomly to me, sometimes it's 1 and other times it's 3. Is there anyway to fix this bug? I really like the ability to guarantee a finisher but I can't justify taking up the slot when I could equip another suprior mod.

Those aren't contradictory.
Eh? If an enemy has 4 armor and your basic stock still takes away one HP, it did indeed bypass the armor to inflict that damage.
Armour bypass would mean the armour had no impact, not that it reduced it to one.

Stocks when missing shots just apply direct damage to the base HP or shields (shields is taken off before anything) basically a superior stock will always do 3 damage to any alien.

IF the shot misses. a regular stock will do 1 damage and advanced stock 2 damage.
Only when shielding comes into play does the missed shot damage get reduced.

But anyway I think it just a duplicate weapon bug. if you leave the weapon in the inventory and upgrade your weapons. sometimes it creates duplicates but both carry the same tag.
Unless you rename the weapon.

I'm assuming he was talking about a basic stock doing 1 damage despite any armor.

Yeah, that's my understanding of how it works. I'll try your suggestion later on, thanks.

What about dodge? Can you dodge a miss?
I mean, it doesn't make sense, but after equipping a stock I did damage on a failed skulljack so I really have no idea.

A Skulljack miss does 2 damage, always.

a skulljack miss does 2 damage and gives the specialist a move.

but yeah, stock against armor does a minimum of 1 damage, but armor reduces the damage to 1.

its not bypassing armor, the game just has a minimum damage of 1.
